This research is not conclusive, but studies on animals have shown that it leads to infertility, low birth weight of the new offspring, preterm delivery and premature delivery. After many studies and experiments, experts have stated that you can consume 150mg to 200mg of caffeine during pregnancy. Caffeine in this amount is fine for your body and for your baby. But studies have shown that pregnant women should consume caffeine below 150 mg if they absolutely need to consume, otherwise they should avoid it. However, it is still advisable that you should consult your doctor before you decide on your own.
